The piece is app 12" tall and 17" deep.  I am trying to thin it out to app. 1".  (Have quite a bit of work to do)  I know there are cracks but do not worry about them just yet.  When I leave the turning I put a plastic bag over it so that no new cracks happens.  The cracks that you see were there from the beginning, I will explain later on how I keep them from getting worse, for now it is the plastic bag that helps most, I do not feel it is worth using super glue just yet.
